Generating power where it is needed using highly efficient, carbon-forward technologies

Operations

Advancements in technology, declining costs, and heightened concern over environmental footprint are transforming electricity markets. Power generation is becoming more democratized, smaller, accessible, and local.

Current Projects

Wilson Creek Power Plant

9 MW gas-fired generation supplying the local distribution system, located NW of Rimbey, AB. Located on lands that have already been cleared for industrial purposes, limiting impacts to area stakeholders & the environment. On track for a 15-month development timeline. In-Service Q1-2023.

NW AB #1

20 MW gas-fired generation, located adjacent to existing oil & gas production facilities, limiting impacts to the surrounding environment & supplying power to the local distribution system. In-Service Q2-2024.

Alberta #2

20 MW gas-fired generation, operating 24/7 to supply on-site power & the local distribution system. In-Service Q3-2024.

Lionstooth is focused on a once-in-a-generation opportunity to support the energy transition by developing dispatchable natural gas generation.

To get there, we are using a combination of strong industry relationships and partnerships, technology, and automation to reduce cost and short construction timelines to manage risk and enhance profitability.

We are also future-proofing the business to ensure we provide long-term reliable, sustainable, energy-efficient power that remains affordable for all consumers.
